About the Ethics Committee
The CREC functions in accordance with the guidelines laid down by
the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Ministry of Health
& Family Welfare, Government of India, and applicable regulatory
bodies. The committee safeguards the dignity, rights, safety,
and well-being of all research participants.
Objectives of the Committee
- To review, approve and monitor clinical research protocols
- To ensure ethical conduct of research involving human subjects
- To protect the rights, safety and confidentiality of participants
- To assess risk–benefit ratio of proposed research studies
- To ensure compliance with national and institutional guidelines
Scope of Review
The Ethics Committee reviews the following types of research:
- Clinical trials and interventional studies
- Observational and epidemiological studies
- Dissertation and thesis research of UG / PG students
- Case studies and retrospective data analysis
- Research involving biological samples or patient records

- Submission of research proposal with required documents

Meetings of the Committee
The Ethics Committee meets periodically to review submitted research
proposals. Emergency reviews may be conducted if required.
All decisions are recorded and communicated in writing.
